The wetlands area had an issue with the tides continually washing away the timber decking that was initially installed. Construction crews were regularly called to fix and replace parts of the walkway broken or washed away. Our regular mesh grating was selected to replace the timber decking. Our FRP mesh provides a more open top surface allowing the water to flow through it without putting stress on the fixings and substrate. Our managing director recently visited the area and took this photo of the walkway installed over three years ago. It’s still looking great and functioning as it should.
FRP can be completely submerged in water. It will not take on water or leach harmful chemicals into the water or surrounding environment.
